Shibata scores buzzer-beater for Villanova water polo team
Villanova’s trip to Loudonville, N.Y., for four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference games ended with a rare buzzer-beater in women’s water polo.

Shibata scored three of her game-high five goals in the fourth quarter and saved Villanova, which led 11-8 before allowing three straight goals by the Saints to tie it.
Shibata finished with seven goals in four games as the Wildcats finished 2-2 on the weekend. Villanova is 8-16 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
Teammate Naomi Ng, who also graduated from Punahou in 2012, had two goals in a 9-7 win over Virginia Military Institute on Saturday and added two more in the last-second win over Siena.
