Male victim assaulted in Manoa Valley
A man was reportedly assaulted near the Lyon Arboretum gate in Manoa on Tuesday morning, University of Hawaii campus security reported.
A UH arboretum staff member found the man at 6:45 a.m. near the Lyon Arboretum gate at 3860 Manoa Road. Police were called.
Emergency Medical Services transported the man to a hospital in serious condition with apparent assault injuries at about 6:45 a.m., Department of Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
The university said the arboretum gate is closed and on a private road that leads to the trail head to Manoa Falls.
Pair arrested in attack on man in Kalihi
Two brothers were arrested Monday for allegedly assaulting a 36-year-old man during an argument in Kalihi.
Police responded to a report of an argument and found the two brothers, ages 50 and 56, at 5 p.m.
The 56-year-old brother allegedly punched the victim, police said, and the 50-year-old suspect used a weapon and hit the victim on his face and body. Both brothers were arrested on suspicion of assault.
Also during the investigation, police found drugs on the 50-year-old suspect and arrested him on suspicion of a drug violation.
Missing Mililani man located in Texas
Police have canceled the missing-person bulletin for the 75-year-old Mililani man who was last seen at his home Saturday.
Willie Lasley was found Tuesday morning in Texas, police said.
