Share Halloween activities, craft fairs for special guides
Event organizers can publicize their fall and holiday activities in two special Star-Advertiser Today section guides:
» The season for craft fairs is fast approaching, and our Fall Craft Fair Guide will be published Sept. 30 for events happening from October through December. The deadline to submit a listing is Tuesday.
» Our Halloween Fun Guide will come out Oct. 2, with information on haunted houses, trick-or-treating events, costume contests, scary movies, nightclub parties, spooky stage shows, ghostly tours, storytelling, craft events, zombie conventions and more.
The deadline to submit Halloween information is Tuesday.
There is no charge for listings. Email the date, time, location, sponsor, cost, contact information and a description of your event to calendars@staradvertiser.com.
Original and frightful fiction could win $200, spot in paper
Spin your most haunting tale of horror and the supernatural in our annual Halloween Fiction Contest.
Entries are limited to 650 words and must be original work never before published. The winner will receive a $200 cash prize, and the story will appear Oct. 28 in the Today section.
The deadline for entries is Oct. 15. One entry per person.
The contest is open to Hawaii residents only; Oahu Publications Inc. contributors, employees and their family members are not eligible.
The winner’s story and photo will appear in the Star-Advertiser.
