Okino leads Hawaii golfers at tournament
Washington sophomore Cyd Okino (Punahou ’11) shot a 2-over 74 during Tuesday’s final round of the Oregon State Invitational to finish in a tie for eighth place at 1 over.
University of Hawaii senior Ka‘ili Britos was the top Wahine finisher, tying for 25th place with an 11-over 227. UH finished 14th out of 16 teams, 84 shots behind the Huskies, who finished first in front of Washington State.
San Francisco sophomore Michelle Condry (Punahou ’11) finished in a tie for 23rd place at 10 over —one shot better than Gonzaga’s Alice Kim (University ’11) and Boise State senior Hayley Young (Mid-Pacific ’09).
Young earned the 13th top-25 finish of her career, moving into eighth place on the Broncos’ all-time list.
Portland State’s Britney Yada (Waiakea ’09) finished in a tie for 50th place at 17 over after closing with a 75. Weber State freshman Cassandra Lesa (University ’12) finished in a tie for 80th at 30-over 246.
