Cancer foundation warns of phone scam
The Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation is alerting the public that it might be a victim of a phone scam.
The foundation on its website said it heard from two supporters that a caller is falsely representing himself or herself as someone seeking to raise money for HCCF.
The local nonprofit said it is not soliciting donations over the phone and never has.
If anyone receives a call of this nature, do not provide any personal, confidential or financial information.
