Police arrest man who stole shoes, knocked over woman

Honolulu police arrested a 23-year-old man for an incident last month in which he allegedly stole a pair of shoes from Walmart, then injured a woman while trying to escape.

Police said Kevin Koseda entered the Keeaumoku Walmart on Aug. 19 and put on a pair of shoes that did not belong to him. He shoved a loss-prevention officer who tried to detain him, then ran into a 54-year-old woman, knocking her to the ground, as he made his escape.

A patrol officer identified Koseda Saturday morning at the same Walmart location and arrested him.

Koseda, who does not have a local address, was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. His bail was set at $20,000.
