A strike vote and rally by members of UNITE HERE! will take place today at Turtle Bay Hotel.

Voting will take place throughout the day, while a rally and protest will begin at 4 p.m.

Unionized workers have been without a new contract for two years. Key issues in the dispute are wage parity with union colleagues in Waikiki and the resort’s expansion plans, according to a union statement. 

Results of the voting will be announced at 6 p.m. and may allow the union negotiating committee to call for a strike.
