For those hungry for pizza on the Leeward side, there’s Pizza Corner in Ko Olina, where a New York transplant turns out thin-crust, New York-style pizza daily, with dough made from scratch.
Build your own pizza with traditional ingredients, starting at $16 for a 19-incher, or opt for one of the house combos, such as the Margherita, or New York Classic topped with salami, pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, black olives, red onions, green bell peppers and Italian sausage.
Those who think ordering the Roasted Veggies combo is a healthful choice should know it’s a double-carb whammy with potatoes as one of the primary veggies.
The dough also doubles as appetizer and dessert when tied into flavorful “Garlic Knots” ($2.50 for four), or as Cinnayums slathered with icing and cinnamon.
Recent guests have been treated to experimental Furikake Knots that may one day make it onto the menu, along with a furikake pizza.
Pizza Corner is in the same complex as Just Tacos and Sushi YuZu, at 92 Olani St. Call 380-4626.
