3 held in Ala Moana robberies
Honolulu police arrested three teenagers in a string of robberies in the Ala Moana area this month. Police arrested the suspects Tuesday afternoon for the alleged robberies of 61-year-old and 79-year-old women and a 59-year-old man between Oct. 4 and Oct. 23.Two of the male suspects are 18 years old, and the third one is 17.
iPhone trips up theft suspect
Honolulu police have arrested a 26-year-old woman who tried to sell an iPhone back to the woman she allegedly stole it from.Police said the victim, a 21-year-old woman, told officers that she was working in a kiosk at the International Market Place when the suspect stole her purse with the iPhone inside at 11:05 a.m. Sunday.The suspect contacted the victim and offered to sell the phone back, police said.The 21-year-old woman met with the suspect.She then called police, who arrested the 26-year-old woman on suspicion of theft
