Firefighters battle brush fire near Waipahu High School
Firefighters battled a small brushfire on Saturday between Leeward Community College and Waipahu High School, Capt. Gary Lum said.
The 2 to 3 acre fire began around 11:43 a.m., and no homes or valuable buildings are threatened, Lum said.
A battalion chief, two engine companies and two tankers are assisting with the blaze.
