Man charged with forgery in check-cashing case
Prosecutors charged a 33-year-old Kalihi man Friday for allegedly trying to cash a 32-year-old woman’s check Wednesday.
Sherwin Evangelista was charged Friday with second-degree forgery, third-degree identity theft and unauthorized possession of personal and confidential information.
Police investigating the case arrested Evangelista on Thursday.
