This is Lopaka Aiwohi clearing an area of burnt trees from the recent brush fires. He hopes this small area he's helping to clear will be planted with some trees to provide shade for rest. It is about half way up to the origin of the water pipe that provides irrigation water. He said the area that he's clearing was once used as a lohi (taro field). PHOTO BY DENNIS ODA. AUG. 25, 2012.
