3 officers injured after stolen car crash snarling Kalanianaole traffic

Three Honolulu police officers sustained minor injuries while pursuing three people who were in a stolen car that crashed along Kalanianaole Highway Friday afternoon.

The officers were following the stolen car when it crashed near Kalani High School about 2:45 p.m.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene; another attempted to flee but was caught nearby.

Traffic in the area slowed to a crawl for more than an hour as police closed one westbound lane to conduct an investigation.

Police did not specify how the officers were injured.
