Hawaii tops Pacific in 4 in volleyball
Sophomore hitter Brook Sedore put down 21 kills with two aces and freshman hitter Siki Zarkovic added 18 kills as No. 12 Hawaii topped Pacific, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Warriors improved to 8-14 overall, 7-12 MPSF. The Tigers dropped to 6-14 and 3-13.
Hawaii had 45 digs, eight by Joby Ramos. The Warriors, out blocked 11-3 on Friday, outblocked the Tigers 13-11 tonight.
Adam Troy had 14 kills for Pacific and Taylor Hughes added 13 kills and was in on five blocks.
Hawaii’s final home matches are next Friday and Saturday against UC Santa Barbara. The Warriors close out the regular season at UC San Diego April 12 and 13
Hawaii also hosts its alumni in a 7 p.m. match April 7.
