BYU-Hawaii women win on senior day
Senior Tasha Campbell scored the game winner in the 87th minute as Brigham Young-Hawaii notched a 1-0 soccer win on senior day over Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday in Laie.
The Seasiders (8-4-1, 7-3-1 Pacific West Conference) take their seven-match win streak on the road to Hilo to face the Vulcans in the final match of the season on Saturday.
HPU dropped to 6-8-2 and 4-5-2.
» BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific played to a double overtime 0-0 draw in the men’s game.
The Sea Warriors (8-5-3, 6-2-3 ) had six shots on goal, while the Vulcans (8-3-4, 6-2-3) put five on goal.
Hawaii Hilo swept in volleyball
Four Dixie Storm attackers recorded 10 or more kills as the Red Storm swept Hawaii Hilo 25-16, 25-16, 27-25 in women’s volleyball on Wednesday in St. George, Utah.
Callie Aberle led Hawaii Hilo (11-11, 5-11 PacWest) with 14 kills. Dixie State improved to 15-8 overall and 12-5.
