go! airplane has fuel leak just before landing at Honolulu Airport
A go! airlines aircraft en route to Honolulu from Maui experienced a fuel leak minutes before it landed at the Honolulu Airport on Thursday.
The flight carrying 50 passengers was scheduled to arrive at the airport at 5:10 p.m. Thursday. Caroline Sluyter, spokeswoman of the Department of Transportation, said the pilot reported a fuel leak to the traffic control tower a few minutes before arrival.
The aircraft safely landed at the airport and passengers were shuttled to the terminal. No injuries were reported. Emergency crews responded as a precaution, said Sluyter.
