2 suspects sought in stabbing in Aiea
Police are looking for two men who attacked and stabbed a third man Sunday night in Aiea.
The victim, 22, told police he was walking along Kaonohi Street at 10 p.m. when two men tried to rob him.
When he got home he said he found what appeared to be a puncture wound under his right arm. The police did not disclose the extent of his injuries.
Man charged in Maunakea Street attack
A Chinatown resident is in custody after an attack on a 26-year-old man on Maunakea Street on Saturday.
Patrick Remeliik, 53, was charged Sunday with first- degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault. His bail was set at $11,000. The incident occurred at 7:15 p.m.
Big Isle police hunt for wanted Hilo man
Hawaii island police are searching for a 35-year-old Hilo man who is wanted on bench warrants for contempt of court and failure to appear.
Jacob W. Umemoto is described as 6 feet tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Police urge the public not to attempt to approach him.
Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Sgt. James Correa at 961-2213.
Theft of vehicle results in suspect’s arrest
A man was arrested Monday in the theft of a vehicle of a driver in Waianae.
The driver, 26, told police that he gave a ride to a man in Waianae at 7:54 a.m. When the driver stopped, got out of the vehicle, leaving his keys in the ignition, the passenger jumped into the driver’s seat and drove away, police said.
Police later located the suspect, 47, and arrested him for suspicion of unauthorized control of a motor vehicle.
Police car damaged in Waikiki incident
Police arrested a 27-year-old man Friday on suspicion of disorderly conduct and harassment in Waikiki.
When they put him in a police vehicle, he shattered a window and was also arrested for criminal property damage, police said.
The suspect was arrested at about 4:45 a.m. Friday. More details were not available.
