A former public school secretary who admitted stealing more than $68,000 from Pearl Ridge Elementary will have to serve nearly two more years of probation for forgery and theft.

A state judge revoked Monday morning the five-year probation he handed Denise Hayashi in August 2011 and resentenced her to a new five-year term for missing some scheduled payments for the more than $20,000 she owed in court costs, fees and fine.

Circuit Judge Richard Perkins also ordered Hayashi, 43, to perform 600 more hours of community service with an agency other than her church. She had already completed the 1,500 hours Perkins had previously ordered her to perform.

Hayashi pleaded guilty in 2011 to one count of theft and 98 counts of forgery for stealing $68,870 from Pearl Ridge Elementary.

Perkins sentenced Hayashi to probation, fined her $10,000 and ordered her to perform 1,500 hours of community service and pay $10,845 in court costs and fees. She had already paid back the money she stole.
