>> Pacific (Ore.) senior Rob Dittrick (Mid-Pacific ’09) allowed two earned runs on nine hits in five innings with one walk and three strikeouts in a no-decision in a 5-4 loss in 10 innings to Corban on Saturday in the first game of the Cascade-Northwest Challenge. Senior Anson Arakaki (Hilo ’09) hit .462 (6-for-13) and Nick Tasaka (Mid-Pacific ’09) had two hits and drove in a run as the Boxers finished 0-3.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
>> Regis (Colo.) sophomore guard Dylan King (Seabury Hall ’11) had a team-high 20 points on 6-for-11 shooting, including 5-for-8 from 3-point range, to lead the Rangers to an 80-77 win over Fort Lewis on Saturday. It was the first win over a ranked team by Regis in a decade.
>> Notre Dame de Namur guard Micah Dunhour (Academy of the Pacific ’11) scored a game-high 28 points on 10-for-16 shooting and added four rebounds, two assists and two steals in an 83-72 loss to Academy of Art on Saturday.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
>> Brigham Young guard Kylie Maeda (‘Iolani ’12) had five points, two steals and a rebound in 14 minutes off the bench of a 66-55 loss to Gonzaga on Saturday.
>> Cal State Northridge senior forward Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) had 14 points, five rebounds, a block and a steal in a 66-55 loss to UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
>> Indiana junior Milika Taufa (Lahainaluna ’10) had two points, 10 rebounds, a block and a steal in a 62-61 win over Purdue last Wednesday.
>> Utah senior Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) scored 17 points on 8-for-16 shooting with seven rebounds and five assists in a 59-47 win over Washington State on Sunday. Cougars freshman Lia Galdeira (Konawaena ’12) had a team-high 14 points, two steals, two assists and two rebounds and Dawnyelle Awa (Konawaena ’12) had three points, an assist and a steal.
MEN’S GOLF
>> Brigham Young junior Justin Keiley (Baldwin ’10) shot a final-round 2-over 74 on Friday to finish in seventh place at 7 over at the John Burns Intercollegiate. Keiley finished 12th at the North Ranch Intercollegiate that ended Tuesday at 8-over 221, and San Diego freshman Alex Chiarella (Seabury Hall ’12) finished in a tie for 41st place at 16 over.
>> Oregon State junior David Fink (‘Iolani ’09) finished in a tie for 36th place at 8-over 224 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate that ended Sunday. San Francisco junior Alika Bell (Kamehameha ’10) finished in a tie for 44th place at 10 over.
>> UCLA freshman Lorens Chan (‘Iolani ’12) shot a 6-over 78 Tuesday in the final round of the Snowman Getaway to finish in a tie for 50th place at 8 over. Teammate Aaron Kunitomo (Kamehameha-Maui ’12) finished in a tie for 80th place at 21 over.
>> Claremont-Mudd-Scripps junior Bradley Shigezawa (Punahou ’10) shot a 3-under 69 on Saturday to win the SCIAC No. 1 golf tournament that was shortened to one round due to weather. Stags teammate Patrick Fujeki (Punahou ’10) finished in a tie for 22nd place at 5 over, while Whittier (Calif.) freshman Jaren McCartney (Punahou ’12) finished in a tie for 31st place at 9 over and La Verne sophomore Andre Bedard (Maui ’11) was a shot behind McCartney in 33rd place at 10 over.
WOMEN’S GOLF
>> Gonzaga sophomore Alice Kim (University ’11) earned an exemption into the 2013 LPGA Kia Classic after winning the UC Irvine Invitational on Tuesday. Kim was the only player to finish under par at 1-under 215 to win by four strokes. She set a school record with a 5-under 67 and set a program record with a two-round score of 139 on Monday. Portland State senior Britney Yada (Waiakea ’09) finished in sole possession of third place at 4 over after a final-round 71.
>> Washington sophomore Cyd Okino (Punahou ’11) tied for ninth place with a 4-over 220 at the Westbrook Invitational that ended Monday. Washington State freshman Nani Yanagi (Waiakea ’12) finished in a tie for 67th place at 23 over.
>> Oregon sophomore Cassy Isagawa (Baldwin ’11) shot consecutive rounds of 4-over 76 to finish in 45th place at 8 over at the weather-shortened Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship that ended Tuesday. Tulsa senior Kristina Merkle (Moanalua ’09) also finished the tournament at 8 over.
GYMNASTICS
>> UC Davis sophomore Tiana Montell ( St. Joseph, ’11) earned a 9.8 (third place) on the vault, a 9.625 on the bars and a 9.725 (fourth place) on the beam in Friday’s loss to Sacramento State.
>> Louisiana State University sophomore Randi Lau (Myron B. Thompson Academy ’11) tied for first with a 9.925 on vault in Friday’s loss to Auburn.
>> Arizona State graduate student Kahoku Palafox (Maryknoll ’08) earned a 9.750 on the bars and a 9.725 on the beam in Friday’s loss to Washington.
Cornell junior Mackenzie Sato (‘Iolani ’10) earned a 9.550 on the beam and Pennsylvania junior Keolamau Yee (Punahou ’10) earned a 9.20 on the beam in Saturday’s Ivy Classic. Cornell took second and Penn took third place.
SOFTBALL
>> Brigham Young junior first baseman Katie Manuma (Campbell ’10) hit a grand slam during a seven-run seventh inning to force extra innings in a 12-10 loss to UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.
>> Washington infielder Kimberlee Souza (‘Iolani ’11) hit .600
(6-for-10) with two doubles, two walks and three runs scored to help the Huskies go 4-0 at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic over the weekend. UCLA third baseman Mysha Sataraka (Punahou ’12) hit .500 (7-for-14) with five doubles, a home run, four runs and four RBIs for the Bruins, who went 5-0. Florida State junior Courtney Senas (Mililani ’10) went 4-for-17 with a triple, homer, two runs and four RBIs for the Seminoles, who were 1-4.
>> East Carolina junior Kristi Oshiro (Mililani ’10) hit .385 (5-for-13) with two doubles, a triple, a home run, six runs, six RBIs and two stolen bases as the Pirates went
1-4 in the Pirate Invitational over the weekend. Senior Kai Clark (Kapolei ’09) hit .500 (7-for-14) with three doubles, three runs and an RBI, and Chelsea Kaluhiokalani-Glackin (Saint Francis ’10) had two hits and two stolen bases and scored three times for ECU.
>> Longwood (Fla.) sophomore Kori Nishitomi (Maryknoll ’11) went 4-for-13 out of the leadoff spot with a triple, two runs and an RBI to help the Lancers go 3-1 in the Longwood Spring Classic over the weekend.
>> Pacific (Ore.) catcher Kylee Oshiro (Pacific Lutheran ’11) went 3-for-6 with two doubles and Kaitlyn Shikada (‘Iolani ’11) singled for the Boxers in a doubleheader split with Pacific Lutheran on Saturday. Senior Glenelle Nitta (Mililani ’09) went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and two RBIs and Lindsey Matsunaga (Kaimuki ’10) went 2-for-6 with an RBI for the Lutes.
>> St. Martin’s (Wash.) first baseman Joslyn Eugenio (Sacred Hearts ’09) hit .438 (7-for-16) with a double, three runs and three RBIs to help the Saints win three of four against The College of Idaho over the weekend.

>> Boise State senior Shanelle Choi (Pearl City ’09) finished 13th in the 100 butterfly (55.89 seconds), 22nd in the 100 freestyle (52.00) and 24th in the 50 freestyle (23.97) at the Mountain West Conference championships that ended Saturday.
>> Kenyon (Ohio) College freshman Maria Zarka (Kalaheo ’12) scored 461.50 points in the 1-meter diving competition and posted 477.25 points on the 3-meter board to set a school record at the Kenyon Invitational on Saturday. Both scores cleared NCAA qualifying standards.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
>> Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior Kristin Lim (Punahou ’09) dropped only three points in two wins at No. 1 singles and won all three No. 1 doubles matches to help the Athenas go 3-0 over the weekend. Teammate Sarak Kukino (Kauai ’11) also went 2-0 at No. 5 singles and won all three doubles matches.
>> Linfield (Ore.) sophomore Kalia Nip (Lahainaluna ’11) defeated George Fox’s Shaina Inn (Hawaii Baptist ’10) 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and also won at No. 3 doubles in a 7-2 victory for the Wildcats. Inn split her matches, winning at No. 1 doubles.
>> Pacific (Ore.) senior Rachel Mizuno (Mililani ’09) won at No. 1 doubles and lost at No. 2 singles in a 7-2 loss to Whitworth (Wash.) on Saturday.
WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
>> Charleston Southern sophomore Joshlyn Noga (Kahuku ’11) took third in the shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 7 inches at the Big South Conference indoor track championships Friday. Noga threw a season-best 47 feet, 1 inch to finish 17th in the weight throw.

>> Brigham Young sophomore Jaylen Reyes (Kamehameha ’11) combined for nine digs and three assists in a five-set win over fifth-ranked Stanford on Saturday and a three-game sweep of Pacific on Friday.
>> Long Beach State junior Taylor Crabb (Punahou ’09) recorded a team-high 22 kills and seven digs in a four-set win over Cal State Northridge on Friday.
>> Southern California sophomore Micah Christenson (Kamehameha ’11) led the Trojans offense with 36 assists and 10 digs in a four-set loss to UC Santa Barbara on Thursday. Junior Henry Cassiday (Punahou ’10) posted a team-high 14 digs in the loss, and sophomore middle blocker Ben Lam (Punahou ’11) added four kills and two digs.
>> Matthew Lui (Hawaii Baptist ’09) led New Jersey Institute of Technology in a three-game sweep of Sacred Heart on Friday. Lui racked up 33 assists, seven digs and six blocks, and senior Brady Smith (Waiakea ’09) added nine digs in the win.
>> Harvard junior Will Chambers (‘Iolani ’10) finished with three blocks and six kills and hit .857 in a three-set sweep over Rutgers-Newark on Friday.
>> Grand View freshman Kyle Hanagami (Waiakea ’11) dished out 38 assists with nine digs and two aces in a four-set loss to Park University on Wednesday. Freshman outside hitter Lawrence Villafania (Leilehua ’08) posted 11 kills and 10 digs in the loss.
