Hawaii auto sales boom
Registrations of new vehicles are up 19.4 percent for the first half of 2012, compared to the first six months of last year, according to a new report released this morning.
Hawaii Auto Outlook reports that Hawaii’s automobile dealers are well on their way to recovery following the “sales meltdown” that occurred from 2008 to 2010.
The report predicts auto sales, as reflected through registrations of new vehicles, will finish the year up 16.2 percent over 2011.
