Korean visitor apparently drowns off West Maui
A 64-year-old Korean woman died Tuesday in an apparent drowning at Honolua Bay, according to the Maui Fire Department.
Maui firefighters responded to a possible drowning at the West Maui bay at 11:33 a.m. and found lifeguards and bystanders doing CPR on the woman.
Firefighters and paramedics took over, but couldn’t revive the woman, a visitor from Korea. She died at the scene.
