Man killed by police had high meth levels
A Wailuku man shot to death by police in a Kihei parking lot on May 22 had high levels of methamphetamine and amphetamine in his system when he died, Maui police said Monday.
Marshall M.K. Langford, 31, was shot while trying to flee in a stolen car in the parking lot of the Mana Kai Maui Resort at about 11:20 a.m.
Police said Langford pointed a gun at a police officer, and that officer shot him.
Maui police released the toxicology results on Langford on Monday. Langford was in a blue 2010 Chevrolet Impala that had been reported stolen from Alamo Rent a Car.
