Supporters of the (de)Occupy Honolulu movement have relocated their encampment to the South King Street side of Thomas Square.
The city shut down the sidewalk along South Beretania Street on the mauka side of the street today to begin a tree-trimming project that is anticipated to last three weeks.
About 20-30 tents made the move Sunday advance of the sidewalk closure.
(de)Occupy Honolulu has been at Thomas Square since fall 2011, protesting myriad government and private business practices.
