A 3-year-old Maui boy is recovering after a near-drowning incident at the Westin Maui Sunday.

According to a Maui Fire Department release, the boy was discovered unconscious in the pool. The boy’s mother said he was under water for approximately one minute.

Bystanders performed CPR until the victim regained consciousness. The boy was attended to by his father and a vacationing doctor until rescue personnel arrived. He was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center in unknown condition.
