Brush fire chars 5 acres on Maui
Maui firefighters battled a five-acre brush fire along Kuihelani Highway and Honoapiilani Highway.
The fire was first reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. Saturday and was deemed 80 percent contained by 1 p.m.
Firefighters continued mop-up operations through the afternoon.
