Woman killed on Waimano Home Road is identified

The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 60-year-old woman who died after she was hit in a cross walk by a speeding motorist on Wednesday night as Guangha Wen, of Pearl City.

A 1989 Toyota Corolla, traveling at high speed, hit Wen on Wai­mano Home Road on Wednesday night, police said.

Paramedics took Wen in critical condition to the Queen’s Medical Center with head and internal injuries. Police said she died early Thursday morning.

The car, driven by a 48-year-old Kapolei man, was heading downhill on Wai­mano Home Road near Leo­mele Street at 8:13 p.m. when it hit the woman, who was in a cross walk, police said.
