Marines, sailors to practice storming Oahu beach
The Marine Corps says Marines and sailors will practice storming a beach on Oahu this week.
Marines and sailors from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Marine Corps Base Hawaii will conduct amphibious assault vehicle training at Pyramid Rock Beach on Friday.
The Kaneohe Bay training is part of an exercise taking place through the Labor Day weekend.
The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit is stopping in Hawaii during a six month deployment with the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group.
The group left San Diego last week. They’re heading to the western Pacific and U.S. Central Command areas of operation.
