Man fleeing mall security dies after fall
A 26-year-old man died after struggling with mall security Friday night at Ala Moana Center.
Police said security called for help about an argument at 9:16 p.m. and a man was taken to the hospital.
An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said paramedics took the man to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
The man was running from security when he fell down a flight of stairs and went into cardiac arrest, radio communications said.
Suspect allegedly burgles relative’s home
Police arrested a 35-year-old man who allegedly burglarized a relative’s apartment in Makiki and threatened a 65-year-old woman.
Police said the man entered the apartment unlawfully about 2:25 p.m. Friday, searched the place and took a 31-year-old woman’s property.
As he was leaving, he allegedly threatened the 65-year-old woman. Police arrested the man at his Piikoi Street apartment at 5:15 p.m. for investigation of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
Safe, golf clubs stolen from country club
A safe, its contents and two golf clubs were reported taken during a burglary at the Pearl Country Club early Friday morning, police said.
Officers responded to an alarm call at what is believed to be the country club’s pro shop just after 4 a.m.
The contents of the safe were not disclosed.
Police said they have no suspects at this time.
