Blood found at 2 burglaries gets Moanalua man in trouble
Police tracked down a burglary suspect after tests showed blood from the scene of two burglaries matched his.
Prosecutors Wednesday charged Jesse Kakugawa of Moanalua Valley with two counts of first-degree burglary.
Police arrested the 31-year-old man Tuesday for allegedly burglarizing two homes, one on May 28 and another on May 29, in the Honolulu area.
Kakugawa’s blood was recovered from both crime scenes, and his DNA was later matched to the blood that was recovered.
Police said he was on probation at the time.
His bail was set at $50,000.
