Repaving work to close Diamond Head park
The Diamond Head State Monument will be closed Monday and Tuesday while the entry road is being repaved.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks said the repaved main entrance road will be opened to regular visitor traffic on Wednesday.
The repaving will be done on the entry road from Diamond Head Road to the Kahala Tunnel in Diamond Head crater.
Only authorized National Guard, State Civil Defense and other people who work in the crater will be allowed entry during these two days. No public access, by foot or by vehicle, will be allowed.
Paving work is being done by Road Builders, Corporation.
