The Gas Company has expanded its propane storage capacity on Maui by 180,000 gallons.

The expansion represents a 25 percent increase in the company’s propane storage capacity on the island. The expansion was dedicated during a ceremony today.

“This new facility represents TGC’s commitment to reliability of service and improved energy security for Maui,” said Mustafa Demirbag, general manager of The Gas Company in Maui County.

The Gas Company said it also plans to increase storage capacity on the islands of Oahu, Hawaii and Kauai.
