Slack key master to play at libraries
Grammy Award-winning musician Jeff Peterson will be a featured performer for the Hawaii State Public Library System’s Summer Reading programs, appearing at three libraries this month.
Peterson is a slack key guitar master who also excels at classical and jazz music.
His performance schedule:

Performances by Peterson and other featured artists from the Statewide Cultural Extension Program are sponsored by the University of Hawaii’s Outreach College, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Find a new pet at Windward Ford
Mike McKenna’s Windward Ford is once again hosting a pet adoption in association with the Hawaiian Humane Society.
A number of animals will be looking for new homes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the dealership, 725 Kailua Road.
In addition to helping with adoptions, Windward Ford donates $50 from each vehicle sale to the Humane Society and offers buyers $50 toward adoption fees, pet supplies and other purchases from the nonprofit agency.
