Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, which flies 20 percent of its schedule to Hawaii, will begin seasonal weekly service on Nov. 10 between Anchorage, Alaska, and Kona. The service will end April 7.
The new service complements Alaska Air’s year-round daily service from Anchorage to Honolulu, and seasonal service from Anchorage to Maui that begins Nov. 4 and ends April 14. Alaska’s Kona flight will leave Anchorage on Saturdays at 1:15 p.m. and arrive in Kona at 7 p.m. The return flights will leave Kona at 10 a.m. on Sundays and arrive at 5:35 p.m.
"Our loyal customers have been asking for Kona flights for years, and we’re delighted to expand our aloha service," said Marilyn Romano, Alaska Airlines’ regional vice president — Alaska.
