Weather for the Kamehameha Day holiday is forecast to be warm, with a high of 87 degrees, but otherwise uneventful.

Trade winds Trade winds will gradually weaken today and Tuesday, the National Weather Service said in its 4 a.m. report. Winds are expected to remain on the light side through much of the week.

Windward and mauka areas will see a small increase in shower activity over the next couple of days, particularly overnight and in the morning. The light winds will allow for localized sea breezes which will lead to afternoon clouds and showers across leeward and interior areas, the weather service said.
