The man fell about 20 feet off a cliff while fishing, and was last seen Sunday by fishermen in the area, the Fire Department reported. Fishermen lost sight of him about 50 yards offshore due to darkness.
The area is a popular fishing spot with high cliffs and strong currents, the Fire Department said.
