The Joshua Neves Children’s Foundation is sponsoring its second annual charity golf tournament July 13 at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club in Ewa Beach to support families grieving the loss of a child.
The tournament starts at 10 a.m. with registration and a putting contest, and the three-person shotgun scramble begins at noon. The cost is $145 per player or $435 per three-person team and includes greens fees/cart, lunch and a dinner banquet.
Call 292-2304 for more information, or visit www.nevesfoundation.org to register online by July 6. People may also help by hosting a three-person team, becoming a sponsor or providing raffle and team prizes.
The foundation’s mission is to support parents and siblings suffering a loss in their family with counseling, financial aid, spiritual guidance and fellowship, a news release said. The foundation also helps families who have children with a life-threatening injury or illness.
The foundation also conducts a free monthly bereavement support and prayer group meeting in partnership with the Queen Liliuokalani Children’s Center, 1300-A Halona St. in Honolulu, for families that have lost a child, newborn to 24 years old.
