Suspect in stabbing of Hawaii man charged with murder
Arraignment of a 29-year-old Kaimuki High School graduate charged with the Saturday morning murder of 27-year-old Bobby Khamvongsa, also a Kaimuki graduate, has been delayed, according to the Los Angeles Superior Court and Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.
Richard Gilla Herrera will be arraigned on June 4 because he is seeking private counsel.
If convicted, Herrera faces a possible life term.
Herrera’s bail has been set for $1 million.
Khamvongsa’s body was found in the street in the Wilshire district of Los Angeles.

Khamvongsa was stabbed multiple times and died at the scene Saturday morning.
Both men lived in Los Angeles.
