Water service restored to 578 Salt Lake customers
Board of Water Supply crews repaired a broken 12-inch main and restored service to 578 customers in Moanalua Valley this morning.
But the repaving of Ala Aolani Street at the water main break site were expected to continue today and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Crews were clearing air from the pipe and finishing repairs at about 4:20 a.m. and restored service by 5:40 a.m., a spokesperson for the Board of Water Supply said. One contraflowed lane of traffic is open and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
The main break was reported about 5:10 p.m. near 1400 Ala Aolani St.,
Multiple water wagons were provided for affected customers, the Water Supply said.
