DFS, known as a worldwide luxury retailer operating in 10 countries across three continents, is re-branding itself and will unveil its new identity at DFS Galleria Waikiki on Saturday, celebrating the announcement with a free street party on Kalakaua Avenue between Lewers Street and Royal Hawaiian Avenue, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The announcement is at 8:20 p.m., followed by performances by Taimane, Hoku Award-winning Starr Kalahiki and the award-winning UK indie band Noisettes.
Food will be available for purchase. Participating restaurants include Azure, Beachhouse at the Moana, Cakeworks, Chef Chai, RumFire and Taormina.
The event supports Honolulu Museum of Art with local artist demonstrations to raise funds for the Hawaii art program.
