UH student reports sexual assault at Kanewai Park
A University of Hawaii-Manoa student reported she was sexually assaulted at Kanewai Park early Thursday morning.
The student said she had been at the park and was leaving there at 3:30 a.m. when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male, UH campus security said.
When other voices were heard, the man ran away, campus security said.
The only description of the suspect is that he was tall, campus security said.
Anyone who was in the area of Kanewai Park or Dole Street near the Hawaiian Studies complex and may have seen or heard anything about that time is urged to call campus security at 956-6911.
