Police ask for help in finding attempted kidnapping suspect

Honolulu police released this sketch of a suspect in an attempted kidnapping in Ewa on April 23.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man who tried to force a 19-year-old woman into his truck earlier this month in Ewa Beach.

Police said on April 23 at 11 a.m., the victim was walking on Renton Road towards Asing Park when a man pulled alongside of her and offered a ride. The male parked his vehicle after she ignored him and followed her on foot. The victim kicked him after he attempted to slow her down by grabbing her arm.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s weighing about 200 pounds with black hair.

The vehicle is described as a white Toyota Tacoma Quad Cab with tinted windows with three large capital "K" stickers with floral design on the rear window.
