Senate confirms attorney as family court judge on Maui
Adrianne Heely has been confirmed as a family court judge on Maui.
The Hawaii Senate on Wednesday unanimously approved Heely’s appointment by Gov. Neil Abercrombie. She will serve the District Family Court of the Second Circuit.
Senate President Shan Tsutsui, of Maui, says Heely’s diverse experience as an attorney in various aspects of government is complemented by her strong integrity and fairness.
Sen. J. Kalani English, also from Maui, notes Heely has demonstrated the ability to analyze complex issues from all sides, a fundamental characteristic for a judge.
English also points out that Heely is a respected member of the community he represents.
Heely is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and the William S. Richardson School of Law.
