Yani Tseng’s top-10 streak continues — barely.
The world’s No. 1 ranked golfer survived a bogey on No. 17 to finish tied for 10th at the Lotte Championship, marking her eighth consecutive top-10 finish on the LPGA Tour.
A three-time winner already this season, Tseng entered the day one of five golfers tied for fourth place, four shots behind eventual winner Ai Miyazato.
She birdied the second hole to get to 7 under but got in trouble on the third. She had to hit from the rough on her second shot and was hit in the lower shin by a tree branch, requiring medical attention.
She finished with a bogey on the hole and added three more on the back to finish 2 over for the round, dropping her to a tie for 10th with Karen Stupples.
“I didn’t give myself lots of chances to make birdie,” said Tseng, whose 74 was her worst round since the season-opening event in Australia. “Just not my day out there. I don’t know what happened. My distance was way off today — just never got close to the pins.”
It’s Tseng’s lowest finish since she tied for 19th at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational last November.
