A 25-year-old woman attacked her boyfriend with a bayonet this morning in Makiki, police said.

When the 25-year-old man entered his Punahou Street apartment about 1:25 a.m., he found his intoxicated girlfriend had locked herself inside his bedroom. He coaxed her to open the door, but she came out holding his bayonet and began to stab the bedroom door and wall, causing minor damage, police said.

When the man tried to stop her, the woman allegedly stabbed him once in the forearm. Police said the man was able to take the bayonet away and call officers who arrested her for investigation of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal property damage.
