Jury returns guilty verdict in brutal slaying of Kalihi teen
A jury in state Circuit Court this afternoon found Corbit Ahn guilty of murder in the August 2009 brutal killing of 18-year-old Iris Rodrigues-Kaikana.
The jury also found Ahn, 32, guilty of third-degree sexual assault.
An area resident found Rodrigues-Kaikana’s nude body in an alley between the Kamehameha Homes housing complex in Kalihi and the adjacent neighborhood Aug. 24, 2009.
Rodrigues-Kaikana had been beaten and strangled.
The jury will return to court in June to decide whether or not Ahn will go to prison for the rest of his life with no opportunity for parole.
