Hawaii island astronomy center to hold hula-related workshops
Visitors to the ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawaii can share in the hula fever that overtakes Hilo in the days leading up to the Merrie Monarch Festival and competition this week.
The center will hold four days of hula-related workshops and demonstrations from Tuesday to Friday.
Participants will “learn about the history and cultural significance of hula and its practitioners,” according to a news release.
Tickets are $6 per session and limited seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Daily admission rates apply to entry into the center’s exhibit hall and planetarium programs.

Kauai Golf Challenge package knocks 15% off green fees
Five world-class courses and three award-winning resorts have combined to offer the Kauai Golf Challenge package at 15 percent off standard green fees.

Halekulani to open September with offer of fourth night free
