Colorado man nearly drowns on Kauai
A 69-year-old Colorado man is in critical condition after being found floating face down in waters off Brennecke’s Beach in Poipu, Kauai, on Saturday afternoon.
Fellow beachgoers brought the man to shore shortly after 2 p.m. and a bystander and a lifeguard administered CPR until paramedics and fire rescue personnel arrived.
The man was taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital and then flown to the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu Saturday evening.
