Motorcycle and bicycle collide; 2 men injured, 1 critically
A motorcycle and bicycle collided on Pupukea Road on Oahu’s North Shore Wednesday night. The crash injured two men, one critically.
Police said a red,1973 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling east on Pupukea Road, crossed the center line and hit a 2008 red Schwinn bicycle traveling west at about 7 p.m. near f the Kanalani Place intersection.
Paramedics took the motorcycle driver, a 64-year-old Haleiwa man, to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition. The bicycle rider, a 62-year-old Haleiwa man, went to Queen’s in serious condition. police said.
Police said the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet, but the bicyclist was.
The motorcycist may have been speeding, police said. The crash took place on an unlit section of the road.
