LAS VEGAS >> The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is turning a Strip-side space used for a pop-up wedding chapel over New Year’s and Valentine’s Day into a temporary sports bar with video games.

Officials planned to announce Thursday that the resort’s EA Sports Bar would open March 31 — in time for college basketball’s Final Four.

Lisa Marchese, the Cosmopolitan’s chief marketing officer, says the bar is part of a strategy to keep giving guests fresh experiences when they come for multiple visits.

The bar will include Playstation 3 consoles with EA’s latest sports games, including soccer, football and golf titles. It will also show live games.
