The Navy’s Blue Angels will soar as high as 15,000 feet, streak by as low as 50 feet and perform a lot of neck-turning wingtip-to-wingtip maneuvers during performances Sept. 29-30 at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

For the fifth time since 1995, the famed Navy flight demonstration squadron will be visiting Kaneohe Bay, the Navy said. Other appearances were in 2004, 2007 and 2010.

The 2012 Blue Angels season commemorates the War of 1812 and celebrates 100 years of Marine Corps aviation.

The Blue Angel F/A-18s and Marine Corps "Fat Albert" C-130T will be performing as part of the Kaneohe Bay Airshow, which this year will also include aerobatic performances by Jacquie B, Mike Wiskus, Red Bull BO-105 helicopter, and the Navy Leap Frogs, as well as a new addition, the Flash Fire Jet Truck.

The 2010 Blue Angels performance also saw the demonstration of an Air Force F-22 Raptor.
